INTEL · FAQ
Questions before you deploy.
Is Bloks affiliated with any actual military?+
No. The military theme is a stylistic device to make focus feel like a mission. Bloks is an independent productivity app, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any armed forces or government body.
Will the drill sergeant harass me?+
Never without your say-so. Accountability messaging is strictly opt-in. You choose the intensity, set quiet hours, and can pause or disable it anytime. WhatsApp requires explicit verification and consent first. It's tough-love, not abuse — always your call.
How does the blocking actually work?+
You build a blocklist of distracting sites and apps and put them on a weekly schedule. During a scheduled block, Bloks keeps you off them and logs the time you defended. You stay in control of what's on the list and when it's active.
Is my data private and secure?+
Your account and activity are protected with row-level security so only you (and squads you explicitly join) can see your data. We don't sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and why.
Does it really cost nothing?+
The Recruit tier is free and includes the core arsenal — blocking, missions, XP, squads, stats, and push reminders. A paid Pro tier is on the way; until it launches, no payment is taken.
Is the gamification just for show?+
No — XP, coins, gear, and ranks are earned only by actually holding your blocks. There's no pay-to-win. The game exists to make the real work stick, not to replace it.
